💡

Getting There from Rimini

Most visitors take the Bonelli Bus from Rimini train station, which takes about 50 minutes and costs EUR 5-6 each way. Around 12 buses run daily. The bus stop in Rimini is across from the train station in front of the Napoleon Hotel. Buses arrive at Piazzale Calcigni in San Marino.

💡

Passport Stamp Souvenir

There is no border control entering San Marino, but you can get a novelty passport stamp at the State Tourism Office in the historic center for approximately EUR 5. Make sure to visit before 6 PM when the office closes.

💡

Be Prepared for Walking Uphill

San Marino is built on Mount Titano at 750 meters elevation. Expect significant uphill walking on cobblestone streets to reach the towers and viewpoints. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. Free drinking fountains are available throughout the town.

Visit the Palazzo Pubblico on Piazza della Liberta to watch the changing of the guard, then explore the cobblestoned Old Town streets with their duty-free shops and panoramic views stretching to the Adriatic Sea.
